Collectable transistor AC-operated twin-track Sony-O-Matic tape recorder is 2-speed changeable by capstan sleeve and dates to c. 1966. Despite its relatively high cost when new (~$650 in today's money), it is only a basic voice recorder. Includes tape, empty reel, earphone and microphone. Electrically and mechanically preserved by modification to restore function. Although useable as intended, it may be more suited for display or collection.Tape contains ~11 minutes of dialog between attorney and client discussing a 13-year-old case. The men apparently met for lunch and continued at the law office where this was recorded. At one point, a distant voice is heard "You wanna another drink", followed by "Yeah". The discussion becomes heated at times and contains "adult" language. First names are mentioned along with now defunct Santa Fe National Bank. It was likely recorded in 70's. As the drinking continues, the discussion becomes less coherent - it's a fascinating listen.
