Matson gold ormolu footed jewelry box/casket. This luxury jewelry or trinket box features an ornate oval filigree design and a centerpiece with a sparrow perched on a flowering dogwood branch. There are no chips, cracks or scratches on the beveled glass lid. The interior is lined with green velvet. It is in excellent vintage condition. The underside of the box is also covered in green velvet. See photo; there are a couple of wear spots that are not visible when displayed.Matson made this Hollywood Regency design from 1940 to 1960.
