Set of 2 Kokeshi Wooden Doll Japan by Takahashi Akinori Artist Signed 10 Tall
This beautiful Set of 2 Japanese Kokeshi Dolls is in good pre-owned condition with minimal to normal signs of wear / handling. The artist is Takahashi, Akinori (more info below). Marked and signed on bottom. They stand almost 10 inches tall, weight of each figure approx. 12 ounces. Make sure to check out my other Kokeshi Dolls and Japanese items currently listed.
Takahashi, Akinori was born in Miyagi prefecture, Sendai City, Japan in 1957 and is the son of Takahashi, Hashime. Akinori is a winner of two awards: 2004 and 2005, at the Contemporary Kokeshi Exhibition. He is an accomplished artist and has only created a few Kokeshi in honor of his father. Akinori does not make many Kokeshi for his focus is on other types of folk craft.
