RARE! Royal Delft 2006 Zwart Famille Noire Wondrous Black 5-Neck Tulipiere Vase

HAND PAINTED DELFT BLACK 5 NECK TULIPIERE by ROYAL DELFT from the NETHERLANDS!1978-2009 ZWART (black)"Blue, Red & Yellow are applied on a black background. This technique was introduced on the 325th anniversary of the factory. Derived from the "Famille Noire" made by various potters in the 17th century. Also know as the "Wondrous Black Delft."A beautiful interpretation of an old technique of "Famille Noire." The pattern definitely conveys an Exotic Asian feel. From the enamels of the bird to the those of the flowering tree. The polychrome enamels are mostly applied thickly giving it an appearance of over-glaze, but it's all underglaze/smooth to the touch. This "wondrous black delft" revived for 31 years is completely different from "black scratch delft." Potters tended to stay away from both techniques due to their difficulty and especially "black scratch."SPECS: about 8.25"H x 7"W x 3.125"DCONDITION - EXCELLENT!- no hairlines, cracks, chips, or flakes- no crazing- kiln faults of carbon spots, grit, glaze pops, etc.
