This incredible matched pair of screwback earrings date to roughly 1900. This style earring back was introduced to the market around 1896. The backs are 16g, which is slightly larger than a standard 18g piercing. Just something to be aware of if you haven’t owned this style of earring before.The total weight of the earrings is 1.35 grams. The turquoise colored stones measure roughly 1.5mm. Although they resemble turquoise, I have no way of verifying that, so purchase assuming that they are glass or some other stimulant. Their precious metal content has been verified with an X-ray tester.
