I handcrafted this bold and beautiful chainmail bracelet in the European 4-in-1 Weave from 16 gauge, 100% Argentium Sterling Silver jump rings, which I make from Argentium wire. The bracelet’s length is 7 3/4" and it contains 53 grams of Argentium Sterling Silver. It has a rectangular hammered box clasp with safety lock. That’s why it is sometimes called “925 silver”. All sterling silver contains an alloy, usually copper. British scientists discovered that replacing some of the copper with a germanium alloy, resulted in a dramatic decrease in the rate of oxidation.
