This Aiwa System, a separated system amplifier from the heyday of mini-components in the Showa era (1926-1989), was too advanced for its time. A renowned audio critic even said it should have been released half a century later. It's a masterpiece among masterpieces.

Particularly impressive is its power amplifier, boasting an output of 50W x 50W in such a compact size. A huge toroidal transformer occupies most of the chassis, and the weight is such that it leans forward when you pick it up.

However, the s-c7 pre-amplifier has a faulty switch, so the wiring has been bypassed and a separate switch installed. The sound output is unstable; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Because of this, the pre-amplifier is considered junk.

Despite being old, the power amplifier and pre-amplifier were used occasionally until recently. Although compact, they deliver a powerful sound. A peek inside the power amplifier reveals its impressive construction.
