Description: Martha Washington:
This large 3.75 wide by 5.5 long by 6.5 high rectangular-shaped powder jar is known as Martha Washington’s Trinket Box.

The finial is comprised of three figures -
a colonial style lady in the center is accompanied by a young boy on one side and a young girl on the opposite side. The four-footed base is embossed with garlands of roses. These jars were filled with powder, and when emptied - were designed to be refilled, or used, as trinket or jewelry boxes.

Due to all of the sharp edges on this jar, it is extremely difficult to find one without any damage. Please ask all questions prior to purchasing, as there are no returns.
