This Auction is for a Very Old Waltham Pocket Watch and Chain. The Cover flips open on both sides. The watch side is numbered with 3498384. The other side opens as well to reveal that it is a 15 jeweled watch. On the inside cover it is imprinted First Line: WARRANTED Second Line: R & B Third Line: Royal Forth Line: 20 Years Fifth Line: 3498384 And etched off to the right at the end of the number is what appears to be: te1561. It would make more sense to me if it was 1851. My eyes are not that good. But what I saw was 1561. Now onto the guts of the watch. On the outside rim of the watch it is imprinted again with 3498384. Also has written safety barrel and then 9594334 then just below that is 15 Jewels. Also has American Waltham Watch Co. It has 3498384 4 different places on the watch.
The chain is marked ACO with Circle around it and stamped
1/20 12KGF. The watch does work. I wound it up and the second hand started moving. It does need a good cleaning.
