Made by Kilnforms, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio, this mid-century ceramic trivet was designed by Eugene Friley and Stanley Fistick in the mid 1950s. The two also worked together as professors at Ohio State University. The stylized bird sits amidst foliage and has a warm rust brown glaze.
