On offer is this beautiful mid century style vase that at first glance appears to be a 1950s Swedish piece by the likes of Berndt Friberg or Gunnar Nyland. However, this is not the case. The vase is in fact by Mengrai Kilns in Thailand, which opened in 1973. We believe this vase is an early piece from their higher quality range of production. If you are looking for a highly stylistic piece that exudes a mid-century Scandinavian feel, but don't happen to have a few thousand dollars to spend on an actual Friberg, this would be a very good choice indeed. The vase is in excellent condition, all-around.
