Hand-embroidered Peruvian rug with kena design, systems of lines and geometric patterns made by indigenous women of the Shipibo-Conibo ethnic group of the Ucayali region on various surfaces, such as fabrics, ceramics, wood and the human body, which can be painted, woven or sculpted.

The Kené have a deep symbolic meaning since they represent the worldview of indigenous peoples, the energy paths, Kene are the healing visions of indigenous peoples when they consume mother plants for therapeutic purposes. The Kenes are sung when women trace the lines with their fingers on the Shipibo fabrics expressing the emotions they reflect.
This piece is hand embroidered by Peruvian artisans in the Amazon jungle.
