Vintage Chinese Silver Pewter Teapot Dragon Phoenix Longevity Turtle Finial Lid
Metal Carving of Dragon, Phoenix, and the ancient Chinese character “Longevity” on the 6 sides.
Dragons and Phoenix are both mythological creatures that signifies good fortune in Chinese culture. Dragon are usually symbols for Emperors and princes, and Phoenix for Queens and princesses.
Turtle/Tortoise is a symbol for long life.
The teapot was never used, it has some slight tarnish, but in overall great condition.
Very heavy metal composition, might be initially designed to use with charcoal.
Shown in one of the photo, the teapot separates into two major pieces, the outside shell, and the inside liner.
