For your consideration is this beautiful vintage demitasse cup and saucer made in Japan most likely during the 1920s to 1930s. There are lovely star flowers hand painted on both the cup and saucer. The cup has a scalloped edge and sculpted handle and sits upon 3 feet. The edge of the cup and saucer have a gold border which has faded over the years. The small handle is beautifully sculpted. Each piece is marked in red with Hand Painted / JAPAN and a K within a circle with a line through it. I was unable to match this specific mark to the maker. There is a rough spot on the bottom of the saucer that looks to be a manufacturing flaw. Each piece is void of any chips, nips, cracks or breaks. The cup measures 2.18 inches tall x 2.49 inches in diameter (top). The saucer measures 4.74 inches in diameter.
