This exquisite porcelain figurine from BOW Porcelain depicts a young boy dancing in a colorful and detailed design. Made in London during the 1760s, this antique figurine stands at 7 inches tall and measures 2.5 inches in width. Crafted from polychrome porcelain, this handmade figurine is a true masterpiece. The boy has a burgundy coat and a yellow hat, along with beautifully painted floral pants. He stands on a bed of flowers. This figurine is not signed but is an original piece from the pre-Victorian era. It's a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
The Bow porcelain manufactory is generally regarded as having commenced production of bone ash, soft-paste porcelains in the vicinity of Bow village, east London, England around 1748.
The concern reached its zenith in the mid 1750s and then slid into a slow decline, finally closing around 1774. The use of bone ash in porcelain survived the demise of Bow and has now evolved into what we refer today as English bone china.
