This is a one of a kind Handcrafted Mermaid artwork. The wood was found on a New England beach and reclaimed for this art. It was then lightly sanded to remove any ruff spots or burs. Painted with a light primer and then applied the color you see. The mermaid was made from a special homemade clay, cotton twine hair dyed to match the seed bead encrusted tail. The shells you see as well as her treasure bag were collected from various RI beachs. The treasure bag includes shells, rock, sea glass, and golden penny. The shells were treated with a glaze coating.
NOTE: the back of this art is in its original form when found. If needed, we can apply a lite primer to the back as well but we think it's great as is.
