Thick yarn - could be wool or a wool blend but there's no content tag
It does appear to be missing two buttons on the back, but it does still close up with the one remaining. It would be a simple fix, but the belt makes it so you can adjust the waist nicely. I tried it on and didn't feel overly exposed - especially with a front tuck.
