First mass market paperback edition (print number not stated) of Dune by Frank Herbert (Ace Books, 1965). Cover price of 1.25 indicates an early but not first printing, as this edition was originally published at 0.95 and then increased to 1.25. Increasingly scarce and collectible vintage edition of this beloved science fiction novel, the first in the Dune series. Mild rubbing to covers and slight shelf wear around the edges. Blemishes area to bottom right corner of back cover where a sticker was improperly removed. Fore corner of covers and text block a bit curved. Spine is faintly slanted but without reading creases. Several pages near front of book were repaired and re-adhered to binding, leaving the outer edges to sit slightly further out than rest of text block. A few instances of split binding in this area, though all pages remain attached. Tanning pages that are otherwise clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
