This set is in very good to great working condition. The engine runs in both directions but needs some cleaning/maintenance for regular use. The transformer is also in working condition. The cars show some wear and have paint scratches and chips, but are in great condition for their age. All the original track in included to form a circle. Track has heavy wear. The box has heavy wear, old tape across the top and sides, and is missing some of the original cardboard inserts.
