The bucolic scene depicts a Reaper with his sickle, conversing with a woman and child beneath a tree with cottages in the background.Backstamp with series title RURAL SCENERY within a pastoral cartouche printed in underglaze blue above an impressed mark.Diameter - about 9.75 inches Year - Circa 1820Rural Scenery - A series that commenced being trademarked in the five-year partnership of Goodfellow & Bathwell.Likely originating from the first partnership of Rhead & Goodfellow. The pattern has a border of roses and other small flowers with prominent acanthus type scrolls. Pictures are a part of the description.Smoke and pet free home.
