Rare Vintage (mid 19th Century) Field Microscope & Blue Light Lamp by Milben

Rare vintage field microscope & special microscope lamp made by Milben Corporation, now defunct. The microscope features20-40-80x magnification with a telescoping (slide-out) focusing mechanism. The legs unscrew from the microscope's main body allowing it to fit within a field bag or utility pocket. The special microscope lamp features a weighted base for stabilization and a removable blue light filter used to cancel out the yellowing effect when taking close-up photos of specimens in bright field conditions.Both instruments were used to perform field observations by a professional scientist until 1978 and are still in fair working condition. Perfect for a collector or as a display with limited use. One tripod leg hole on the microscope needs rethreading and the lamp will need rewiring if planned for regular use. Overall, both the microscope and lamp show some signs of wear consistent with their age.
