1953 Mary Jane Freyberg WALKER Doll 17" Terri Lee Type Hard Plastic Flirty Eye 2

This 17-inch doll from 1953 is a vintage original and a rare find for collectors.Mary Janedoll by Freydberg and dating back to 1953. This doll was made to look like and compete with the popular Terri Lee doll. Terri Lee sued this company and Mary Jane was taken off the market after only a year. She is a walker and her walking mechanism works perfectly. She has great facial make up with full dark red lips, rosy cheeks, dramatic black lowe side eyelashes and long, arched eyebrows. Her blue/green flirty, sleep eyes stay open and closes. Her molded lashes are intact and her body is great condition (see pic). Her original red wig is full and intact. She is dressed in a charming white and red with matching red bloomers. The dress is not tagged but could possibly be original to the doll as the quality is very good and is just like some of the Mary Jane clothing we have come across. She wears white knit socks and black patent faux leather Mary Jane shoes. She comes from a SMOKE FREE home and will be a welcome addition to any collection!
